"The Port of Dover declares a "critical incident" because of long queues leading to the ferry terminal"

Only a few days ago someone posted that there were no problems there...

Of course the government/port authority are blaming the French...

But why should the French shoulder the burden/cost of a stupid decision made by the UK?

Were all these extra checks needed before brexit?

And why are ports in the UK apparently taking the UK government to court because of the costs of infrastructure they were forced to introduce which may now not be used?

its the french s fault

the scoundrels do it deliberately

same as these migrant boat crossings, entirley the fault of the French scoundrels

The Russians made them do it.

Yep, that's what thousands of people are doing right now in the queues...

A 'price worth paying'?
This is nothing to do with Brexit, its all to do with the french passport control staff simply not turning up for work in sufficient quantity.

Before Brexit they didn't need to have these checks at the border. You could just cruise through much of the time.

How can it not be because of Brexit. Brexit literally forced this change on us.
I always had my passport checked at the channel tunnel when we were part of the eu.

Same here when we used to go through the tunnel - by some miserable French git. You knew when you were reaching civilisation and manners when you met the British Border control in Calais on the way back.
