So... I've just found out by chance that my builder has cut part of the base on the back side of both my WC and bidet.
It's not an aesthetic problem because you can't see once they are in place but obviously the warranty is now voided.
Both items have been in my spare room for weeks so they had plenty of time to check them and see how the piping should have been done.
Obviously I am ****ed. What can/should I do?

Possible that both have also been weakened by him doing this too, so far as being unsafe to use.

I would tell him, you want both items replacing, and fitting correctly, at his expense. If he is unwilling or unable, then tell him you will get someone else to carry out the work and pursue him for your out of pocket expenses.

Not pay them, unless it’s too late for that?
It's not too late for that luckily.
They re-did my entire bathroom so it's not just that i am paying them for but still... This has been going on for a month so I want to resolve it quickly but at the same time I payed for an item and now it is damaged

The two sides were connected at the base and he just cut that piece off. Probably it's not the end of the world but if anything happens I'm f.....d

I don’t see why he needed to cut it.

why couldn’t he have cut off the solvent weld elbow
I think the problem is the position of the pipes coming from the floor... Which they had plenty of time to measure and plan for before putting boards and tiles up.
They did the pipework from scratch as well as flooring so, in my view, no excuse whatsoever

Yes - it's just a total lack of planning.
Pipes should have been put into the wall, rather than exiting through the floor.

What make is the sanitary ware and which supplier?
Victorian Plumbing is the supplier and I think it's their own brand. I am not sure about who the original manufacturer is

In certain circumstances, I have had to do something similar.
Not as a preference and always with the owners permission.
Mouldings of that type are more to do with protecting against breakage during transit than when the product is installed.

I would let it be and perhaps ask the builder for a written guarantee that he replaces it FOC, should it fail during its normal manufacturers guarantee period.

In all honesty the cut will make no difference to the integrity of the china, wall hung wc and bidets happily hang on 10mm of china.

Also if Victorian plumbing, I really wouldnt worry about the warranty - it will be worth nothing

I don't understand why he cut that.
Are you sure it wasn't already like that?
Also, why did he use that flexi waste?
