Diddly squelch.

cashed our bonds in a few months ago and put them elsewhere. We both get the equivalent of four and a bit 'wins' each and every month. Guaranteed.
Is that £100+ a month on 50k? where did you put it?

We both get £107.50 each paid monthly on £50k That was then, it’s a bit more now.

Kent reliance 1 year fixed bond. 2.79%. Monthly interest.

Atom now doing 2 year fixed 4% (run by app only :( ), or Market Harborough B/S 4.1% for 3 years - both monthly interest.

What a difference a couple of months makes! Returning to the rates of yesteryear - wonder how much higher, especially as BOE just put interest rates up by .5%?

Dunno but we just moved our ISA's to Santander a couple of weeks ago - 3% fixed for 1 year. Theres already better deals out there but if you hang about waiting for a better deal you’ll end up doing nothing. We never fix for more than a year. It might be 5% or more when the year is up!

I've always suspected that old bonds go stale after a while. Anyway, Mrs Mottie and I both cashed our bonds in a few months ago and put them elsewhere. We both get the equivalent of four and a bit 'wins' each and every month. Guaranteed.
However, not long after we cashed in, we had an unexpected lump sum come back to us when her brother repaid both us and her sister back some money he had borrowed four years ago, so….we bought more bonds! We now have just under £19k in bonds. With our 'fresh' bonds, we have just had this win which is more than we had ever won before when we had the maximum holding:

This works out to more than 9.5% p.a. return. Not bad!

Co-incidence? I don’t think so. If we still have the bonds in a years time I’m going to cash them in and get a fresh lot again!
Feck me, another £100 prize. Thats two £100 prizes in two months - I’ve only ever had one prize that size in all the years I’ve been doing them!

I might have to think about buying some more fresh ones at this rate!

£50 for me which is useful as I am continuing to run down the balance with withdrawals. They have an option to process the withdrawals the day after the prizes are allocated.
