Least Surprising News of The Day..

If there was a referendum in six months time what case could the eu put forward for us to rejoin?

That's a very evasive answer to my question!

What improvements has Brexit made to people's day to day lives?

Not point scoring here. I didn't vote in the referendum. Just interested.

I've seen how difficult it was for my niece to go to Spain, for the third year of her university course. I've seen the mess over Northern Ireland. I've seen the queues at ferry terminals. I've read about a drop in exports. And I don't actually follow the news any more. I'm sure there are plenty more.

And then this thread made me think about what has improved. Is there anything I can do now, which I couldn't when we were in the EU? Is there anything I can do, which is easier now than when we were in the EU? Is there anything I can buy now, which is cheaper than when we were in the EU?

But to answer your question, I would imagine the EU would probably say that there would be an substantial economic benefit to re-joining. And that, generally, it would be much easier to travel and trade with the EU. Same arguments as always!

This is because we have had a series of the stupidest, most evil, nasty, wasteful and self-destructive, Britain-hating politicians that could be dreamt up.

What other country has politicians like ours?

One day you might get a grip with reality.
When Cameron came to power we were a staggering £821 billion in debt, the highest figure ever, and caused by the Blair and Brown madness. If Britain was a business, at that point an incoming manager would have gone into emergency mode, frozen everything, took stock and figured out what had gone wrong and then stripped out all the loss makers. Instead, Cameron and his successors simply continued with the Blair / Brown method so that, 12 years later the debt has tripled to £2,434 billion.

It wasn’t madness Andy

Brown did what was required to protect people from the global crash.

but you are right wing and support free market capitalism: that’s what caused the crash.

What you actually want is socialism not capitalism.
