What makes me laugh (although not in a jovial manner obviously) is when you see the surnames of many Americans, it's evident they themselves are 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc generation immigrants. Yes I get that's not necessarily linked to the religious side of things, however America itself is founded on the hard work of folk that came from all over the globe, some with different religious beliefs. Maybe this guys 1st generation relatives faced abuse, now here he is dishing it out to a horrific extent.
To answer your question, I think there are many people in countries all over the world that have their own opinions on stuff (fine, their prerogative) that don't necessarily align with the laws and legislation of their country. For the more extreme amongst them, it is said laws that keep them in check.
It wouldn't take much if certain laws where softened or abandoned altogether for these folk to see it as a green light to attack whatever group it is they don't like.
So yes, there could easily be more of this.

As long as he limits his support to "Palestine" and "Palestinians", which I note he is now doing, he remains on the right side of that law, at least.
Hamas is not Palestine.
Those who invaded Isreal, tortured and killed 100s of families as well as mass killing anyone they could. The reports of burning kids alive, beheadings etc are rapidly being verified. I appreciate that a bomb burns children and civilians alive equally, but it's not the same as slowly torturing people to death.
Maybe you could share with us that verified independent proof of all that you claim?
And the constant threat of aerial attack is in effect 'slowly torturing people to death' would you not agree?
