Hi my brother has a vokera combi one year old and is looking for a programmer room stat for it, so asking if anyone has any info good or bad on the above one, I have Tado and showed him that working but he seems to think going boilers own make will be better ?

What model Vokera is it? I have the Hi Comfort control, it works fine.

Not the most intuitive to use or prettiest room control but there's no need to go to it with the Hi Comfort app.

The predecessor, the BeSMART was excellent but let down by the servers in China which were incredibly unreliable, Hi Comfort uses Amazon servers and I've had it for a year on test with no issues (I also work for the company).

If your brother goes Hi Comfort use the OpenTherm option, it'll squeeze a few more percentage points of efficiency out of the boiler.

Thanks it was a new model out a year ago I think a 30kw. Funny he was told last year to stay away from it as they were problems. As far as I can see the only thing missing is smart trv heads over the tado. He was going with weather comp last year but will go or if he goes ahead.
Thanks

I'm told the smart heads are coming but know no more than that. I use Hi Comfort OpenTherm plus weather compensation wired to the boiler. It sounds like it might be the Vibe Max boiler as that came out around then.

I have a 8yr old Linea One with BeSmart connected via OT. Getting fed up with the eternal "Network busy". Had a look at the Hi, Comfort T100 (PN 20193354 Stat and wifi box) , and physically it looks identical, and the installation instructions for the T100 are identical to the BeSmart.
The installer thinks the Hi Comfort range is only for recent boilers, but I think he has checked the K100 Hi Comfort 'dongle'
Can I just swap them?

Yes, that’s what I did.

Existing cables plug into the wi-fi box.

You need to encode the existing room control to the wi-fi box.

Also download the hi-comfort app and encode it and the box to the router in your house.

Nicer app but although you can still restart a locked boiler from the room control that option is removed from the app.

The delivery left Friday to UK so hang fire ordering if that’s what you want to do.

Thanks for the super quick reply!
"You need to encode the existing room control to the wi-fi box." Ohh, can the existing (BeSmart) thermostat be enrolled to the new G-100-W gateway WiFi/OT interface box? That would save a few bob.
In fact, I bet all the hardware is exactly the same, just a firmware change to the gateway!

Yes to the first question.
Not quite to the second. The Hi-Comfort looks, and to all intents and purposes is, the same as the BeSMART but the software has changed behind the scenes. There may be issues, I don't know however I encountered one, I can't remember what it was, it was over a year ago at the start of the rials.

I had a very early one and got it updated, there are versions of the BeSMART software. I really ought to use my Hi-Comfort room control, it's still in the box.
