Modifications and insurance

Put it up then I will give it a try. If I struggle, I will ask the experts here.

I've got a better idea. How about you do your own homework for once? If you "can't find" your insurance policy, that's your lookout. Pretty much all insurance companies have online access to your policy documents, so you can download it. Failing that, if that's beyond your capabilities, you can use the electric telephone to call them and ask you to post you a copy. You made the claim, you back it up. Until then, I regard you as a liar.

He claimed his insurance allowed pattern parts. Is your insurance the same? Yes, I have the cheapest insurance I can find. Based on the T&C of a random internet find, pattern parts are not allowed.

So post your "T&C of your random internet find" then, and back up your claim - liar!

Since you believe pattern parts are allowed, prove it.

I have a feel for things, I know what is in it without reading. Therefore I don't waste time reading.

Wasting time, is about the ONLY thing you've managed to do successfully on here...

Which bit is funny? Would you like to prove pattern parts are allowed? I know the other two are scared. They have been bad boys and risk invalidation.

Oh we're all going down together, Mr. pattern cam cover, gasket and now bearing... :) I guess that makes you a hypocrite as well as a liar...

You, deliberately, or just through ignorance, keep getting it wrong.

His insurance doesn't "allow" pattern parts, it just doesn't say "not allowed".

1 day, you might just understand. But I'm not expecting that day to happen soon.

Unless of course yours says they are not allowed, but without the documents, how would you know?

Oh he knows alright. You're absolutely correct, I never claimed that my (or anyone's) insurance "allowed" pattern parts, I said that it did not prohibit them. He just likes twisting other peoples' words. He knows he's wrong too. Shot his mouth off once too often - which is why he "can't find" his documents and he won't be able to "find" the T&C of his random internet find" either.

In contract law, if something is not specifically "allowed" then it isn't allowed when the contract is disputed.

You made the claim, you back it up.
See previous sentence, I just did.

So post your "T&C of your random internet find" then
It was posted. But the trollers in this thread are not interested.

Perhaps you'd just be so kind as to post up the number of the post concerned?

The old bearing was cut open for reuse as exact size bearing drifts. All the bearing balls were present and undamaged after prolonged use, indicating very good quality bearing material. The bearing had debris bulging under its shield. That might have been the cause of the aircon noise. It could be an assembly defect.

This type of bearing allows transmission of force from one bearing race to the other without destroying the bearing - useful in difficult installation/removal scenarios. There is no risk of the two races separating until most of the balls are destroyed.

Your picture shows the two races separated with all the balls present though.
Yes, you do have a sharp pair of eyes, not. Can you not see the outer race sliced up on the bottom side? I reckon you never won anything in a spot the ball game.
