failing to understand the rules... again.

Was he? And your source is...?

Did he? And your source is...?

Didn't he? And your source is...?
No sources, apart from the bleedin obvious. The Chancellor has a chance to move the debate on and concentrate on getting the country back in shape with her speech today. Lets hope she raises taxes and increases borrowing to pay for the improvements to the NHS and other national infrastructure. It's being kept quiet unlike previous administrations who pretty much leaked the budgets in advance. Kieth isn't going to stay in power on the basis of personality so he has to get his policies right.

Just your speculative opinion then?

Kieth isn't going to stay in power on the basis of personality so he has to get his policies right.
He's got 4¾ years to do that.
Normally concerns like that don't materialise until the last 6 months of a Parliament.

Additionally, he has the authority to call a snap election when he think he has the best chance of winning it.

She got slaughtered on GMB this morning. Trying to compare Angela Rayners free holiday to any normal person using a friends holiday home. The point made was that normal people don’t set government policy and AR was quoted moaning at Boris Johnson on twitter, for doing exactly the same.

Like 2nd place sunak did.

Of course sunak didn’t have the unions demanding power sharing. They clearly expect to be calling the shots

Why do you feel there is a need to level the playing field?
Because it's sensible.
I've voiced concerns previously about lobbying etc, and the sting operations by zealous reporters, being unfair.
I believe all MPs should be lobbied and funded for it. I also believe they should receive gratuities.
It should all be declared and be transparent.

The rumour mill is in overdrive that two tier free gear no beer keir and Sue Gray will be gone by christmas. That would see a sharp move to the left.

Please explain how that could come about, given the massive Labour majority.
It could only come from within the party, and there is no indication of that.

That would see a sharp move to the left.
Given that the current Labour are pretty much central, any movement would have to be to the left.

The IFS have just backed her against Hunt's plan in that general area and mentioned a rather large hole in it. He planned a 1% increase per year to the whole area. Problem is that some of the newer areas need far more than this so others must suffer. Actually that can include the NHS as the additional increases are welfare related and dwarf the 1%.

The IFS view past that needs the actual budget when it is released. Past that for various reason Labour will see increases in the money available just as the Tory expected. They are not good ones. One difference is likely to be the fiscal rules. She will do her best to stick to them.Tory decided to add some considers. Some are saying she should change them to allow her to borrow more. I don't think she will and I very much doubt that the IFS would like the idea either. They dropped that entire idea concerning more sinificant borrowing how ever it's done. The long term result of the Tory changes is that it's blown the basic fiscal rules out of the water.

The aspect people will miss is that investors in the UK will want to see economic stability that will last over a significant time.

Mostly based on Gray not appearing at the conference. Do you remember Gove disapearing from the public eye for a while and then coming back? Certain news needed to fade.

All I know is that Starmer has ordered an enquiry into the leaks.

Labour's aims - looks like certain unions may act up. It doesn't look like all will. One's answer is pretty simple just borrow borrow borrow. If they back that they are nuts. It's pretty clear Starmer wont. It has to be controlled.
