The problem I find, is one year on, home owners don't tend to contact electricians and say we want a refund this unit has failed, and in our own homes we only tend to fit one or two, so can't compare.
Even items which 1000's are fitted, they can go for years before faults are found, we have seen this with MK sockets, so we know it must comply with BS EN 61558-2-5, a find in page for that number on both the ebay products finds nothing.
To be frank I never use a shaver socket in a bathroom, I look like father Christmas, and I think the old 3 meter rule now reduced can't remember new distance, in real terms depends on the bathroom, my top bathroom I would not worry to much about BS EN 61558-2-5 it is a good distance from bath, middle floor would want it to fully comply as a bit tight in there, lower floor bathroom would want again for it to comply as again close to the bath. However bottom bathroom is only room with a shaver socket, and I have never looked at to if it complies.

The 2.5m distance is for sockets without isolation transformer.
I’ve got some of the older Eterna ones. No electrical complaints.
Plastic a little brittle on the light cover, if you don’t know how to remove, would be my only complaint.

I think this one is a Wickes type.
The main fault is the bulb cover has two plastic protrusions, that poke into the fitting so it is switched off when removed, these have broken, I fixed them once, but it went out while I was having a bath so I'll get a new one. Also it is a filament bulb.
