Boat illegals up under Labour.

I don't think they should be here a day longer than necessary
And many people don’t think pensioners should be permanently in a position a day longer than necessary that is worse than a migrant from another country that hasn’t paid a penny in the pot.
But, while they are here, I think they should be treated humanly.
Same goes for our homeless and poorer pensioners, while they are still with us. Do you think the migrants needs should come before theirs?

How about putting the migrants in damp unheated accommodation with little food or medical attention and treating the pensioners to a warm dry house with 3 meals a day plus medical attention? ?

Two wrongs don't make a right. Home grown homelessness is a scandal on it's own, there is no comparison with the two.

Really? Our homelessness is becoming much worse, due to lack of places for them to live, whilst we continue to take in and attempt to house thousands of immigrants, who make their way across to our shores on flimsy boats. Some/many/most of those homeless people, will have contributed to the system, at some stage of their lives - Those arriving on the inflatable boats, have contributed nothing, and will likely be a liability for years, if not for the rest of their lives.

Of course not, but this is a migrant thread. Happy to widen it if you want to.
Sure. Go ahead. Let’s hear your views on the two. You still don’t understand the feeling of people on migrants, do you?

Not all of them, no. Do you think the boats should be shot at and people killed as a deterrent? I'll never understand that line of thinking.

More humanly than the people born here, who have worked, contributed, paid into the system? Why show them more humanity, than we show our own? Don't you understand, that treating them so well is a major part of the problem, a good reason for them to take the risk of crossing the channel?

It's not really widening the thread. You must compare our own, who are struggling, with those crossing the channel. Our own are at least as worthy of support, as those migrants.
