Exterior wall lights

Hi
I would like to install exterior downlighters around the exterior wall of my garage to light up a pathway. Could I run them off the existing lighting circuit in the garage? The only issue I see there is they would only come on with the garage light, but could I wire in a separate switch just for them? Ideally want to have either PIR lights or smart bulbs/switch?

Yes, probably

Yes again but you would need to take the feed from a permanent live, neutral and earth.
It could be at the light or the switch.
