Electricity meter needs replaced but unsure if it is RTS and/or 3 phase

Can anyone please confirm if this electricity meter looks like it is RTS and 3 phase?
Photos attached.

My energy provider seems to think it is based on their records and that I need it replaced with a smart meter before the RTS switch off on 30th June 2025.

The problem is there is apparently a lack of engineers capable of installing new 3 phase meters (by a company called SMS) and I'm still waiting on them creating slots (finding engineers) in my area before the meter can get replaced.

Although I did have a 'smart meter' installed by British Gas in 2016, just not sure if this replaced the old meter completely, or just sits on top of it and it might still use RTS.
It doesnt work like an automatic smart meter as I still need to supply manual readings, although can't remember if it worked OK automatically back in 2016 with BG and when I switched to another provider it stopped working.

Thanks in advance for any help trying to understand what action I should be looking to take over the coming weeks and months.

Its single phase and the outgoing twin and earth is rough as ya like.

Does the property have an overhead supply ?
I think it must be underground, at least close to our house as there are no obvious overhead cables.
Does this make much difference in terms of the questions on RTS and 3 phase?
The other reply suggests it is single phase.

Thanks mate, are there any safety concerns with how they've done it, or is it more just doesn't look good?
Depends where it runs it probably should be in an earthed containment or probably fused down.

But that wasn't your question, the meter is single phase not three phase.

Thanks for clarifying. Is it something I should probably be requesting or insisting they fix when fitting a new meter?
Not sure if they would deal with this for the purposes of switching out the meter.
Probably also depends how big a job it is to fix?

Can you tell if its an RTS meter as well as single phase?

You worried about the RTS switch off in June?

I think u will be ok
Yeah I got an email saying I need to do it, but not sure if it is even an RTS meter like the energy company thinks it is.
Given it sounds like they are also wrong about it being 3 phase.

Do they actually switch off electricity supply on that date or just the meter reading technology part?

RTS switch off impacts economy 7 and similar tariffs.

You don’t appear to have E7
It appears to be a smart meter (so newer technology than RTS)

Switch off would impact billing rates

It’s just that you have no obvious earth provided by the supplier .

Do you know if you have an earth rod some where?

Its on the right hand side. The twin and earth earth goes into it.

I‘d ask for them to fit an isolator. Then any electrician can sort out the T&E at a later date without messing with the meter seal.

You can easily tell the difference between single phase and three phase. Single phase means four wires connected to the meter, three phase needs eight. Also three fuse carriers in the cutout (the black box on the left), you only have one.
