No not that club, the one on the high street which you entered by going down the stairs I think, this was in the 90s. I can't remember the name at all and I have tried to quickly Google it. It'll come back to me.
The Base.

The Base.
I’d forgotten about the Base, that was in the building where the bowling alley / cinema / Wetherspoons was or still is.

I went there once or twice, think it was down in the basement but can’t really remember.

Yeah that's right, I remember the cinema was upstairs I think and the club in the basement like you say. I was a regular there for a while. Happy days.

I don't remember the Weatherspoons to be honest, was Weatherspoons around in the 90s down sarf?

East Grinstead has a name for being Scientology town

Forest Row and East Grinstead area is the heart of Scientologists, Mormons, Rudolf Steiner etc. There’s a Mormon Temple just outside EG on A22. Saint Hill Manor is the Scientologists temple in EG.

There’s an urban myth that John Travolta rang up KFC EG to have a private booking….and they refused thinking it was a wind up.
