There was just a BBC interview with a Yale rofessor of law who systematically took apart what Trump said,, how it's illegal, unconstitutional, a war crime, that he's consulted nobody etc, and that he doesn't understand the responsibilities of the position of President of the US.

I am truly impressed by the abilities of President Trump.
He has such vision, objectivity, morality and knowledge of everything he addresses.
These qualities are hard to find. In fact the people who possess them find that there is no qualification available with such a wide compass as they have mastered.
In fact the only folk I have come across who, to some extent, could profess to endow the world with such astonishing achievement,
are estate agents.

Like f. he is - all he's saying is what the Far Right in Israel have been lobbying for years to achieve...the eviction of Palestinians from Gaza and the West Bank, and the settlement of Israeli's on Palestinian land. All that guff about troops in Gaza and redeveloping the region is nothing more than a revised Marshall Plan for the 21st Century. It's what America does best: supplies weapons to reduce an area to rubble then offer supplies to rebuild. It's like a syndicate offering to repair your windows after lobbing a brick through 'em in the first place.

It's a strange one. Many of these countries can't live at peace. Many of them want the west to keep out of it. However they then rely on the west tax pounds/dollars for aid etc.

What Trump has done is accelerate the discussion and debate re Gaza. Without visionaries like Trump, the ultimately ineffective discussion and debate goes on and on and on, with a sprinkling of brief ceasefires here and there. Meanwhile innocents keep getting killed.

Many of these countries could do worse than adopt the western way of life.
