I think you put something on it like custard to make it taste better, not sure.I once went into a restaurant in Truro called the noodle bar and ordered seaweed as a starter. Imagine my shock when a plate of seaweed turned up. He used to import sheets of it from China and put it through a paper shredder. It smelled like you were stood on a beach when the tide has gone out, and it tasted horrible, well, it tasted just like I imagined seaweed would taste.
