English Cooking

I once went into a restaurant in Truro called the noodle bar and ordered seaweed as a starter. Imagine my shock when a plate of seaweed turned up. He used to import sheets of it from China and put it through a paper shredder. It smelled like you were stood on a beach when the tide has gone out, and it tasted horrible, well, it tasted just like I imagined seaweed would taste.
I think you put something on it like custard to make it taste better, not sure.

Heinz Toast Toppers were discontinued (IIRC) around 2014/5.
They always looked like something that had dropped out of a bulls nose to me. Although I used to like them. I had to close my eyes to eat them. They certainly tasted better than they looked

Oh you have surprised me as I used to always feed the ducks in my village with bread, they ate it so I assumed thats what they eat, must taste better than pond weed surely?
Bird seed from supermarket is what we often feed ducks here. Our local parks and a wildlife centre also have dispensers of seeds for feeding the ducks as well.
