
It's slightly open at the mo so should I open it or close itIts designed to be used fully open or fully closed, in reality they rust and dont operate when they are most needed. Replace it with a quality full bore lever valve like pegler.

That gate valve is on the CH primary return and is used for the hot water, it regulates the flow through the cylinder coil to maximise heat up. That being said, as you have a Y plan, when both HW and CH are calling for heat, could that bypass affect flow through the radiator circuit, potentially.Would this affect the radiators as I've fitted drayton trv4s and having problems with some rads warming up then cutting off and not coming back on
