If those countries which can no longer trust the USA rearm seriously, what might the consequences be.

Countries with large industrial bases who are good at building high tech stuff, like Germany, Japan and South Korea. Some might feel the need to build nuclear weapons.

My gut feeling is that overall it can't be a good thing.

But maybe it will drive economic growth.

It's a whole new world, so I am just throwing out ideas.

There have been several articles in the Times and Telegraph in the past week about the need for massive rearmament and the need for home grown nuclear weapons in Europe.

Japan and South Korea will obviously be thinking the same.
