Bath panel strengthening

Hello all

I've put a new bathroom in and have a curved bath. That panel that comes with the bath is a bit delicate on the curve. Already had redelivery 3 times due to arriving broken.
I'm trying to decide how to add some strength to the panel, especially along the curve. Of course I'll batten the floor and wall to strengthen the panel along the straights.

I'm thinking of using some expanding foam, creating horizontal lines along the inside of the curve. Once hardened would this provide support? Or does foam need to be contained to create strength?

Fibreglass matting (vehicle repairs) to add thickness ? Never tried it so just throwing the idea out there.

Fibreglass matting works well on the back of these if they're cracked or whatever. What you could do, if you're feeling ambitious is fix a couple of say 6mm plywood ribs on the back, curved to fit, fixed again with fibreglass. Fibreglass kits are readily available in various sizes.

Or some weirdo bloke on here makes his own out of upvc cladding:

Need ideas for a P shaped bath panel renewal

The panel on our P shaped bath has yellowed with age. I’m looking for some inspiration for a refurb. I’m guessing a replacement panel might be awkward in getting the right profile to fit the P. There’s a company on the net that sells a kit in the form of what looks like vertical lats that maybe...

This is a nice idea actually I'll have a look yo see.
Although was hoping for a little more straight forward... like the foam idea.

No idea but the fibreglass is quite easy and effective, I've done it myself for a cracked panel.

How are you going to contain the foam to the area you want, everytime I`ve used it the ruddy stuff goes everywhere!

How about bonding some gussets on with silicone if you don't fancy glass fibre? (I'd do fibreglass if it was mine certainly not foam)

Never tried but how about curved ply ribs held in place by small dabs of spray foam?
Once fixed in place, adding more foam and you can (on most foams?) spray the outside of foam to harden it so it stops growing and becomes more dense.
