Does the front of the box just stay open like that? no entry hole?
Yes. That’s a box specifically for Robins. It will only attract robins. They prefer open fronted nesting spots. Needs to be hidden though - I have it in a little recessed corner of my garden with mile-a-minute plants hanging down and covering it up from view. I made a few holes in my shed over the allotment and laid some flower pots on shelves to attract robins. No luck so far though.Does the front of the box just stay open like that? no entry hole?
