Cetirizine is another non-drowsy alternative (Allacan, Benadryl).
The latest is Fexofenadine (Treathay, Allevia) in 120mg dose (POM in the stronger 180mg). {Sadly "horse-pill" size, but work better than the former two in my wife's opinion.}
Piriton Brand (generic name Chlorphenamine) is a drowsy inducing antihistamine my wife uses for a good nights sleep.
