Supply is supply ie anything from parts to the whole product which covers Apple and Walmart. That risk Trumpf shifting tariffs to the country in question.

Trumps real strategy for tariffs is he starts by setting really high tariffs, then he waits for those who come to him and give him money or other favours in exchange for lower tariffs.
It’s corruption, it’s manipulation of trade for personal gain.
Putin has Oligarchs, he gives them powerful positions in industry, they steal a load of money out of the business, give Putin a big bung and keep a chunk for themselves.
Trump is just doing the same.
The only difference between Trump and Putin is……Trump can’t have people killed and tortured, although he can deport them to El Salvador to have it done
