Hello everyone, I've just bought a house with this set up. The key meter had a debt on it which EDF have just cleared via a code, I have then topped up and the meter has come alive but the house is still dead. It seems like the meter isn't letting any power out. EDF are coming in 10 days to fit a new meter but i was hoping to have some electricity before that.
Does anyone have any idea whats going on here? I am taking outvthe night stores and putting central heating in so that side of will be gone soon.

Kind regards
Mike Williams

Think that's the neutral, it looks like you have 2 more grey cables going up, so maybe another fuse board above or behind?

Only one

So you think there is another board somewhere? Or at least a mess
The board we see is clearly marked as heating and all switches are off. It's a pretty sure bet you have another fusebox/consumer unit somewhere on the end of that earth and 2 grey wires, as already pointed out... One of which is damaged and should be looked at, especially as it is the live wire and a potential shock risk, at the same time as that connector block without a cover.

Unless of course the Vendor decided to take it with them and leave you in the lurch. What comments did your surveyor make?
