This went under the radar

So because they only do 10% of the abuse they should be left alone
Me? I find ALL child abuse abhorent.

If I were fighting child abuse crimes and were to focus all my efforts on the 2% and ignoring 90%, would you think my efforts were being misdirected?

Yax hates Muslims. He has no interest in child abuse.

Maybe he thought the muslim grooming gangs were being overlooked?

so you quote worldwide figure for the catholic church but talk down the uk victims of muslims . yeah a really fair and balanced comparison
You read something into what I said that I didn't say.
My point was why point the finger at a problem that is a tiny fraction of the current and historical sexual abuse of children.
If there are about 18,500 sexual abusers globally in one religion, at any one time, and there's numerous religions, there will be a large number of sexual abusers operating in the many churches in UK, even abusing children as young as 3 years old, and they will have been for decades. And the religious leaders were supposed to be responsible for the children's spiritual welfare.
But it was never a problem until the Muslims started abusing the girls, that were happy to hang around with the taxi drivers, for whom the drivers weren't responsible for their spiritual welfare.

You're right it's not a fair and balanced comparison.
So why the focus on the Muslim grooming gangs and not the religious sexual abusers grooming gangs, that is the overwhelming major part of the problem?

I think I can guess. It's the usual dark skinned people, and blame the problem on the most vulnerable.
Any stick to beat your drum.

you do realise there is more dark skinned catholics than white skinned ones so you are guilty of what you are accusing others of . That its racial due to skin colour

Maybe he just gets confused and that's why he ended up in prison.
It's worth remembering that the reason Lennon got sent to prison was breaching an injunction, 10 times, by repeating lies about a child he'd wrongly accused of attacking girls.

The only thing his imprisonment had to do with 'muslim grooming gangs' was the person he was hounding was a Muslim.

Interestingly one of his complaints about the harsh and unfair circumstances of his imprisonment was that he only had a limited DVD collection to watch whilst on his laptop.

If you call inhabitants of the Iberian peninsula, the Northern coast of the Med. and S America, you're probably right

But I wouldn't describe those as dark skinned. When the world thought that there were numerous races, mediterranean people were considered as caucasian. That's white skinned.
Most of the South Americans are descendants of Mediterranean people, as are those from the Iberian peninsula.

stop trying to hide your racism by saying people are nearly white.
There is 280 million catholics in Africa alone another 149 million in Asia.

Fact is these Muslim grooming gangs offences were swept under the carpet for decades

Due to the fear (?) of the race card being deployed ( usual )

White grooming gangs can be dealt quicker and
With out fear of the race card being deployed or some other race related excuse

;)

Fact is sexual abuse if woman / girls is endemic
In there country of origin

Tis the norm

;)

Left to me after any prison sentence I would kick em out the country so quick they would have a nose bleed thinking about it
And stuff there human rights any one objects they can go with em

Fact is the police didn't investigate because they saw the victims as willing participants not in need of protection.

Race was a factor, but the failure to even investigate in the first place was awful. You see that in nearly all the rape gang investigations of the era, the police didn't give a ****. That thread is consistent for all offenders and victims.

If the police had done anything approaching an acceptable investigation then it wouldn't have been possible to ignore the case for being too flimsy to prosecute.

It's interesting you're suggesting that all these gangs are foreign nationals. Not British subjects. Just a little bit of lazy unthinking racism peeking out there.

regardless of where you are born its how you are brought up in traditionally family/ religious/cultural ways that has a great influence in making you who you are

This is the real scandal of it all imo.
Unfortunately some people do bad things, this has always been the case and probably always will be. We have laws and punishments to deal with these people.
For decades, social workers, councillors, the police, members of parliament, and even the government knew what was happening, but rather than deal with it, they chose to ignore it because they didn't want to be called an ism.

Even now, there are those on here who would do exactly the same. We know who they are.
