A woman in hull has just been jailed at hull crown court for hate speech on face book. Led a sheltered life and never said anything before. Said one thing and lost her liberty for 15 months.

Afaik her comments / hate speech carries a max sentence of 7 years (?)

In her particular case her treatment is OTT imo

It is so easy for racist internet warriors to post their extreme comments on social media. Steps must be taken to stamp out such cowardly attempts at fomenting racial hatred.

I said a sniper could take a shot at the transom to puncture it to render it unuseable, then tow them back to the nearest safe port which would be France. I was referring to he comments of the Reform councillor.
But your comments were just as silly. The usual boats used by refugees are cobbled together contraptions, not RIBs
Yes RIBs may be capable of sustaining the life of their occupants if one compartment is damaged.
I don't assume for one minute that the boats used by refugees have such in-built safety features. Otherwise there wouldn't be so many fatalities caused by collapse and sinking of such boats.

Then there's the near impossibility of an accurate shot from one boat on the high seas, to a target on another boat on the high seas.

shooting at an inflatable is wanting to inflict harm on the passengers in it.
