Rattle can spray job on the wing so don’t look too closely.

Without it being baked though, how hard does the paint actually go when rattle-canned on?

I remember spraying a bike (admittedly, in the eighties) and, despite leaving it a week or more before rebuilding, it was still utterly useless at seeing off any tap or stone chip.........

I guess time will tell on how it holds up. It has a 2k lacquer over it, which hopefully will help!

Forgive the amateur question, but is a 2k lacquer £2k?

Or 2 part?

Or something else entirely?

2 pack paint. You mix the hardener with it just before spraying it on.

It's 2k Clear Coat, which is supposed to add superior gloss and scratch protection. You have to activate the spray can by fiddling with the base of the can - I guess it releases a hardener inside - then you shake for a couple of mins and then get spraying.

Made a door smaller, didn't c0ck it up, felt well chuffed with myself.

Went to Holt today. Had a look around all the antique shops. While we were in one of the shops, a blackbird came strolling in - the owner had placed a bowl of mealworms on the floor. He filled his beak and took them back for his chicks.

Had lunch, went back to the cottage. Then went to Cromer. Very windy. Went on the pier. Back to the cottage. Had a cuppa then went out for a bike ride on the fold-ups to Baconsthorpe castle. Had a little fly around with the drone then cycled back. Was thinking of getting a dozen quail eggs from the honesty egg cupboard outside someone’s smallholding but I think they’ll be a bit too fiddly to poach. Picked up some bantam eggs instead - they’ll do for breakfast tomorrow.

Yes. A castrated cockerel. Apparently, they grow much bigger and are very tasty and tender.

Went to Sheringham country park today. Took the bikes and had a good ride all round the place. Then went to the seafront. Windy again. Despite that, I took a chance and sent the drone up for a quick video. Got the low battery warning so brought it back, pronto. I didn’t fancy a dip in that sea!
