Hi heard should lay towards light for better look? my room is 17 feet on attached left to right and 14 from the hallway to the patio doors, ok to point to the light if shorter length? decking outside goes left to right, I think will be easier to fit towards the patio doors so should be all good.

If so start laying on left corner or right?

Thanks all

Personally I fit planks parallel to the shortest wall; makes room look bigger.
Although, you also have to consider how many doorways you have and where they are.
This is just my personal opinion, so I have no proof of it (for the holders of 3 working neurons on this forum).

You mean left to right as opposed to pointing towards the patio doors, I too have a couple of synapses working these daty :)

Towards the light means shortest end nearest the light

From your picture it looks like the longest wall is the one where patio doors are, so I would go perpendicular to that.

ok will sort end towards the light then and start any corner thanks all

Are the planks different lengths with the shortest 300mm then if so I would also plan it out to minimise lots of short ones and joins right on high traffic foot fall areas. Your natural step when you walk into the room ETC

20mm x 240mm going to point towards patio and light
