Well I am not a lawyer but I do know one who could clarify this to us. @motorbikingNo, in France they don't.

"French law does not lay down strict time limits for asylum seekers to make an application after entering the country.".Well I am not a lawyer but I do know one who could clarify this to us. @motorbiking

The truth of the matter is and I don't know the reason why, but they could very easily smash the gangs as he put it if they wanted to. It would be the easiest thing in the world to do but he doesn't want to.He's kept that quiet.

If it was so easy then why doesn't he do it?The truth of the matter is and I don't know the reason why, but they could very easily smash the gangs as he put it if they wanted to. It would be the easiest thing in the world to do but he doesn't want to.

Welll that clearly says that they must register as assylum seekers,"French law does not lay down strict time limits for asylum seekers to make an application after entering the country.".
Registration of the asylum application - Asylum Information Database | European Council on Refugees and Exiles
Once an individual has entered the French territory in order to seek asylum in France, they must be registered as asylum seeker by the French authority responsible for the right of residence, namely the Prefecture. Then, they can lodge an asylum application with OFPRA, the only administration...asylumineurope.org

I just said, I do not know what the reason is.If it was so easy then why doesn't he do it?

We wouldn't have to fire a shot. The French track U.K. border force and they would not allow them to dock and unload.
The British boats are hardly going to start shelling the French are they
Oh dear, I’ve used your own argument against you and made ya look very silly.
Reform Party supporting muppets like you are easily destroyed.

Good grief. You're at it.Welll that clearly says that they must register as assylum seekers,

A time frame of 120 days now reduced to within 60 daysGood grief. You're at it.

Where does it say that?A time frame of 120 days now reduced to within 60 days

just copied and pasted it above, it is now 90 days not 120 as I said.Where does it say that?

Which has got nothing to do with having to register. That is "if" they register not that they have to.However, the law specifies that one reason for OFPRA to process an asylum claim in Accelerated Procedure is that “without legitimate reason, the applicant who irregularly entered French territory or remained there irregularly did not introduce their asylum claim in a period of 90 days as from the date they has entered the French territory.”[1] Prior to the 2018 reform, this time limit was 120 days.

Where the hell is @motorbiking when you need him. He will shed light on this for us. I cannot really argue the point other than what I have read, I may be interpretting it wrong,Which has got nothing to do with having to register. That is "if" they register not that they have to.
