Actually mottie they are all detained, just you cannot seem to grasp what detention is... for the absent of doubt its the same standard as any criminal detention. So you think they all go in detention until their claim for asylum is decided? Idiot.
1. In a secure facility or prison as its known- mostly for Syrians, Sudanese, Afghan and Palestinians at the moment although that changes, remand as its known
2. In a managed accommodation, mostly tagged aka a bail hostel
3.Tagged in non managed accommodation eg a Hotel
3.Permit to reside or bail as its known, specific location with reporting requirement eg the same as being on bail and reporting to a police station.
4. At their normal address and place of work - temporary right to stay in the case of visa overstays with no restrictions unless they break a law ... which by the way make up 33% of all asylum claims or unconditional bail as its known.
Or in short exactly the same as any other criminal awaiting trial who are detained..
I am always confused by you mottie, you claim to be British but have little or no understanding of the country you supposedly live in...
