How to reduce knife/violent crime in our cities

We have police that are nice to nasty people and nasty to nice people.

We have a coast guard that escorts invaders onto our territory.

We have an army that defends other countries but not our own.

We have MPs who prioritise the needs of other countries over those of their own constituents.

We have a conservative party that has changed everything and conserved nothing.

We have a labour party that despises those who work for a living.

We have a king who doesn't rule.

We have a government propaganda broadcaster which tells you that all of this is quite reasonable.
I think you need to go out and smell the roses for a little while.

Easy.
Give police full power to stop and search the usual suspects; make it their number one priority in hotspots.
Enforce a mandatory 10 year prison sentence for possession of a bladed article and 20 years for using it against a person, no discount for good behaviour.

Before the usual retarrds start the useless argument: a chef carrying his knives to the restaurant in a pouch in his rucksack does not commit an offence.
A scrote hiding a large knife in his trousers for no reason, commits and offence.

We have police that are nice to nasty people and nasty to nice people.
Just your bias showing
We have a coast guard that escorts invaders onto our territory.
Not understanding facts and obligations.
We have an army that defends other countries but not our own.
I didn't even know we were at war
We have MPs who prioritise the needs of other countries over those of their own constituents.
Every MP is elected, blame those that elect them. It works across all parties, I am sure you will agree. Although I'm equally sure you are only thinking of those on the left.
We have a conservative party that has changed everything and conserved nothing.
They have done so much harm and setback this country, but people still blame this lot that were left in the mess. Agree they haven't made enough inroads into the mess yet, but 14 years of mess takes a bit of time to change.
We have a labour party that despises those who work for a living.
Just your bias showing
We have a king who doesn't rule.
Yes, and your point is ?
We have a government propaganda broadcaster which tells you that all of this is quite reasonable.
You don't like the news from a central point of view? There are lots of other choices for you to listen to or watch. But if you choose a biased type then you will just get the bias that you want to see and believe.

Explain how any citizen, left, right, middle, extremsit or non political, stops the Police from using their powers ?
Ever heard of lobbies?
Ever heard of politicians giving directions to police?
In primis, our great midget, responsible for setting the strategic direction of policing in London.

Do the police have the power, or don't they ?

Do the police have the power, or don't they ?
Yes, but they've been instructed not to use it unless strictly necessary .
Don't be ridiculous. They use it frequently when they have sufficient reason.
How do you know?
You're in France.
I'm in London and now very rarely see a police officer.
Haven't seen a search since before Covid.
