What have you bought today?

It's that time o' year again; the time o' year when y'all should be looking at next year in t'garden with a mind to plant whatever tickles your fancy. If you're considering bulbs, bushes or trees take a look at the sale now on at ROOTS. I've used 'em for some time now and vouch for the quality of their wares. At these prices why wouldn't you?

Motorola G35. Just for foreign trips using a Czech pay as you go sim - still keeping the Nokia 6100 for use in UK. The Motorola is way too big and complex for normal daily use - more like a small tablet than a phone. However it will come in handy when abroad so won't need to drag the laptop with me.Just have to work out how to set up and use the damn thing now. Things like finding and installing apps and making sure it only uses wifi when in range, not data, are a priority - but all a mystery to me. Hours of fun ahead.

In @pete01 case, because he lives in a top floor flat and this would be no use to him. Just an example of why not.

Two weeks and I am outta here and cruising around Italy in a suite. Now that’s living. Bought these today in readiness

OMG you cant pull those off, why do you try to be like me so much?
One of the problems with having a face and bone structure like mine is that you just cannot wear cheap sun glasses without looking like you. We are in a suite on the ship and this is expected of me.

That's pretty poor, get over 60 from my diesel Passat. What is the road tax on the Tuscon, are you paying Milliband tax for the first 5 years?
I don’t think 50+ mpg is that bad for something that size. Yep, £195 tax plus an extra £425 spite tax for the next 5 years. However, I did negotiate a £6.5k discount off of the retail price so that will more than cover it. Both Mrs Mottie and I love the car - it’s better equipped than the top of the range RR Evoque we had. We can get over 60mpg from our TDI Golf but I know what I’d rather be driving - it’s not always about doing things as cheap as possible you know. ;)

Sony WH-1000XM6 Headphones, i held back for a while as i also have the Bower/Wilkins PX8 which are beautiful too, but for all round noise cancellation on flights etc, Sony are still the leaders.

Me walking out and testing out my new sunglasses. I think they are approved.

A new pair o' boots for walkin' t'hills and kickin' over rocks in t'garden.
T'was a sad day this week when my old boots gave up after 26 years of loyal service: through rain and snow; heavy mud and gloop they stood the test of time til i kicked over a stump from a tree we cut down on Thursday. Good reviews on the new pair, so fingers crossed they last half as long - i'm gettin' too old for this sh!!

**** on his chips, why don't you?
:ROFLMAO: I’m not bothered at all, each to their own. If I were given a gallon of juice and asked whether I’d like to travel 50 miles in my car or 60 miles in his, I know what I’d choose. On the other hand, if I was given the choice of travelling 20 miles in a Bentley Bentayga, I’d choose that in a flash!
