Soldier F.

So were the Northern Ireland Civil Rights Association terrorists, provoking them, when on 5 October 1968 RUC officers surrounded marchers and beat them indiscriminately and without provocation, injuring over 100 people?

4th January 1969, 4 January - A People's Democracy march between Belfast and Derry was repeatedly attacked by loyalists. At Burntollet it was ambushed by 200 loyalists and off-duty police (RUC) officers armed with iron bars, bricks and bottles. The marchers claimed that police did little to protect them. When the march arrived in Derry it was broken up by the RUC. That night, RUC officers went on a rampage in the Bogside area of Derry; attacking Catholic homes, attacking and threatening residents, and hurling sectarian abuse. Who were the terrorists provoking the RUC there?

19 April 1969 - During clashes with civil rights marchers in Derry, RUC officers entered the house of an uninvolved Catholic civilian, Samuel Devenny, and beat him, along with two of his daughters. One of the daughters was beaten unconscious as she lay recovering from surgery. Devenny suffered a heart attack and died on 17 July from his injuries. Who were the terrorists provoking the RUC there?

13 July 1969 During clashes with nationalists throwing stones at an Orange Hall in Dungiven, RUC officers beat Francis McCloskey, a Catholic civilian (aged 67). He died of his injuries the next day. What terrorist provocation did he engage in, which justified the forces of law and order beating him to death?

All this happened before the Provisional IRA existed.

14th August 1969, the British army was deployed to N.I. It would be another 3 months before the Provisional IRA came into being.
Wrong again silly billy. The IRA was formed in 1919 the provo IRA was established in 1969 but there was problems way before the army was deployed there

We all know that you DGAS about the truth, but even you know that it won't go away no matter how persistently you deny it.

And the truth here is that the Provisional IRA did not exist at the time the British army was deployed.

No but the RUC was having problems with control of riots. The army was deployed.

OK - I will.

Oh look...

The United Kingdom formally recognised the State of Palestine as an independent sovereign state in September 2025.

We all know that you DGAS about the truth, but even you know that it won't go away no matter how persistently you deny it.

When did Palestine meet the internationally recognised requirements and declare statehood, when did Palestine meet the criteria of the Montevideo convention?
Recognition does not make a state, it can pave the way toward that, but at the moment, there is no such thing as the Sate of Palestine.

And the truth here is that the Provisional IRA did not exist at the time the British army was deployed.

FFS the brits were deployed in Aug 69 and the provos were formed in Dec 69 but were a splinter group of the IRA which as HM says had been around since a lot earlier.

The Para military groups killed 700 British soldiers and 270 RUC members plus 644 innocent civilians. The army killed 293 terrorists. You bleat about the paras shooting these terrorists or as you call them “innocent civillians”.

It declared statehood on 15th November 1988.

when did Palestine meet the criteria of the Montevideo convention?

A convention ratified by 16 countries 92 years ago and not even signed, let alone ratified, by a single country since then.

OTOH, as of September 2025, the State of Palestine is recognized as a sovereign state by 157 of the 193 member states of the United Nations.

It had indeed.

At the time the British army was deployed the IRA was no longer engaged in armed activities. The pre-split IRA officially ended its armed campaign in 1962.

The Provisional IRA started up the armed campaign again, after they formed in 1969. A major factor in the split was the reluctance of the IRA to get involved in defending Catholics from "loyalist" violence.

It declared statehood on 15th November 1988.

Yes, for an area including the West Bank, Gaza and the entire state of Israel and any area

Coincidentally, on 15th November 1988 I declared myself as being God, Lord of all the beasts of the earth and fishes of the sea, and the last king of Ireland.

The old collusion cobblers.
Yes there were instances of collusion but at very low levels.
As I pointed out in my previous post, it wasn't surprising that some members of the security forces pass information to terrorists, but what really surprised people was the fact that there was so little of it, considering the level of attacks on the security forces and the civilian population.
Most of the stuff about so called collusion on the Internet, is mostly conspiracy theory type nonsense

The people murdered on Bloody Sunday WERE innocent civilians.

That truth will not change, no matter how strenuously you try to deny it.

Feel free to "correct" the Wikipedia page. See how well that works.

You'll also have to do something about all this"conspiracy theory type nonsense"
