Fujifilm Cameras

YEP small sensor and mount -
this format is all new to me - but 1st principles still apply

i gave up on the kit - i tried a canon pro1 bridge , - but was not good slow shutter respoinse speed was annoying and huge, and so i invested in mre gear BUT
and now all my kit has been in a cupboard for a few years now

Ok, so that system may limit the choice of lenses - but looking at some of the youtube videos seem to have a few

I see a 25% of full frame sensor - so small sensor and a crop factor of x2

small sensor - how much noise do you get at higher iso

i looked on dpreview as they often have good reviews - BUT i could not see there normal review were they try out different ISO settings for noise

look interesting
based on the 2x - then for landscape a 28mm or 24mm lens - so thats 12mm
standard 50mm thats then 25mm for street, BUT if they have a fast zoom - i would want F1.8 though out the zoom
telephoto for wildlife - probably 100-400 (so 50-200 ) again with good f stop

Lots of lenses you can use too, from panasonic, lumix, Olympus, etc, inc lots of third party lenses available from Tamron, etc. All micro four thirds lenses are interchangeable between the different systems ulike canon etc.

I once tried using a bridge camera. I gave up in the end as people used to walk all over me!!!

small sensor have in the past been noisy at higher iso - so i'm trying to find the comparison photo examples
loads of old discussions on crop lenses when they first came out - optical quality - as using less of the lens , noise , etc etc

dont get to carried away with that ..... as i say still looking for reviews of noise on the camera
interseting a few of the 3rd party lens makers like sigma and tamron seem to have stopped making that format lens

is that at the moment your preference , if so - see if you can at least get hold of one and see ho wit feels in the hand, eye and using the controls - NIKON never felt right to me , for example and i was given a nikon at my mates daughters wedding and asked to take informal photos - hated it
I have watched youtube videos where some serious landscape photographers have swapped their Leica and hassleblad gear for micro four thirds

I think it says it all in the above link, shooting for Aston Martin and magazines with micro four thirds

ok,

So dof maybe interesting on a small sensor - as when i had a small pro1 , as the sensor is small then you get more DOF which as mentioned ages ago you dont always want - and how many images are using photo editing to actually blur the background
i used photoshop a lot

the link above also talks about cleaning up the noise in lightroom - i had noise reduction software as well years ago ..

i think you may have answered your own question as you seem to be going own that route

BUT as said earlieris that at the moment your preference , if so - see if you can at least get hold of one and see ho wit feels in the hand, eye and using the controls - NIKON never felt right to me , for example and i was given a nikon at my mates daughters wedding and asked to take informal photos - hated it

worth a watch
really good video, when you compare £16,000 to £4,800 you would hope to get a much greater difference, I think I am sold on the micro four thirds as these were extreme examples and certainly for the type of photography that I am aiming for it suits my needs and budget

looking at used the mk11 is twice the price as OM1 - is it worth it - some videos on that too
its does seem like a good camera with a lot of features to my canon r6

what photo editing are you planning to use as well to consider - raw images and storage

now you just need some lenses - also looked at a few reviews of those , as also previous mentioned

then maybe a rucksack style bag if doing walking etc - i have tried a few of those as well

tripod
flash
spare battery or 2 even
spare SD cards - i tended to go for a lot of smaller size - so i did if a card corrupted (m which i have had) then dont lose 1000's of images
i shot in RAW and Jpg
I also transfereed the images into a tank ( and onto a PC , and backed up to 2 external harddrives

thats the kit side of things

now look at things like "the art of photography"

Take a look at this video,, I am sure the Mk1 will fit me

lenses

Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm F2.8 Pro Specs

so thats a 24 - 80 equivalent

wide angle and upto and around the standard 50mm also f2.8 across the zoom as far as i can see - Often zoom will be say 2.8-f5.6 as zoomed

yep, thats where i saw them and also on youtube gettting high reviews

now you want 80+ maybe a zoom with a good review and again with fixed F stop

and if you do go for the mk1 - another £800 to chuck at a decent lenses - they are th eimportant bit to get right - maybe some primes
