Why are people missing the point. If you can afford a £115k car then you clearly do not need the benifit.
Keep the system but limit it to a certain value car. But with exceptions for cars that are needed for ramps etc to be fitted.
Thats exactly how the system works.

Anything extra has to be paid for, by the user

These are WAV's.

And the extra payments on those are eye watering.

All I can say is God help you if you ever become disabled.

Given the chance, I would quite happily shrug off my disabilities (yes, I have several) and be fit and able.

This is not the first time I have said this. Last time, it was when I was provoked into a face to face argument with someone who I shall decline to identify. There were others in the room. I wanted to back down and stay quiet, but I decided to speak up, so I stood up and spoke up for myself, explaining that I have struggled my whole life with disability. With physical issues, with metal issues and the attitudes of other people. Obviously, this was never going to happen for all the tea in China, but I told him I would dearly love to be able to do all the things that fit and able-bodied people do, but that was never going to be possible. There was a lot more, but that was the gist of it.

Now, I'm big enough and strong enough to no longer be affected by what people think of me personally, but I do find it appalling that folk have this attitude towards disabled people today. There doesn't seem to be any care or compassion, but I'm sure things would be different if they became disabled one day.

I am sorry to hear you have ill health, I stress my case that I am talking about those that do not have anything wrong with them that I am concerned over, the shirkers and the overweight people that are playing the system.

And it can affect anybody, from any background or financial position.

I don't see why being wealthy (if you've paid your correct share of taxes) shouldn't be able to take the help.

Disability is draining mentally and financially. A lot of people (in here especially) have no idea of how disabilities affect your life

Better that a few people get the benefits that shouldn't, than people who should, don't.

Compassion and empathy. That's what being British is about. Not flag flying.

Strongly do not agree. Why should anyone get any benefits who doesnt deserve them just so those that need it get them. Change the system if that is the case

the shirkers
you mean like Nigel farage

he was an MEP for many years....hardly ever attended European Parliament
he is an MP now...low attendance in HoC and is hardly ever in Clacton.....do you think he ever does a Constituency surgery?

Is he in a wheel chair?

If no one ever does anything wrong why would they need this form?
