You should re word that to, you don't know anything and so I find out by Google because I have no knowledge of my own. What a pity you don't just keep quiet like you say.

The thing about using Google (or other search engines), is that if you do so intelligently (and I accept that that is a real problem for quite a few posters here), you can find out facts.

Add your knowledge becomes knowledge of the truth.

But quite a few people here (and there's a significant intersection between them and the group I referred to above) not only don't seek facts and truth, they are actively hostile towards them, as they prefer the consruct of lies in their heads which they've put there by slurping up the effluent pumped out by populist "news" media and their fellow eye-swivellers on internet echo-chambers.

And anyway - you yourself advise people to use Google to find things out which they don't already know, instead of using their own version of things:

Try googling it before replying with your own version of street light repairs.

Have you considered the implications of 26 repairs per day that each of us have to do to reach our KPI ? How much time and manpower along with the costs would you like to add to this and are you willing to foot the bill for all of this and turn a 15 min job into a few hours. Your council tax of course would be well spent. If the job is for a few hours we do put alternate arrangements in place but that is why we are allowed anything up to a 15 min period to keep costs down.
