Suppose it could be said that while it's hardly smashing the gangs, smashing their outboard motors is a start. Certainly far more than our trecherous politicians have done about the situation. Quite revealing how the French are in it together with our politicians, Border Force, etc - even dragging the RNLI into it. They're all actually facilitating all this.

Landlady of one of the pubs I use is from Wolverhampton and has a wonderful thick accent. My brother went to University in Birmingham for four years and when I take him to the pub he speaks 'Brum' with the landlady. I can't understand a bloody word, but he's expert with the lingo. Tarar-a-beet!
