The thing which first got my attention, and 'intrigued' me, was the first statement above, namely "26mm Jaw (Fits BS 1363 Plugs)" - what on earth can that mean?

Made for Britain not Made in Britain.

Link please

More Chinese rubbish, just look at sellers contact details.
Who knows? The descriptions are obviously rubbish but the product itself could be fine.

There's not much electronic equipment around which is not manufactured in China or other parts of SE Asia!

Very obviously Chinese, from the words of description, but modern Chinese offerings are usually quite good, if you can forgive the documentation.

True - no matter what you buy, it will be made in China, or Asia - even what were, well known British brands.

Yup, I think that China took over from Japan a few years back (Well it was heavily Japan a few years back!)

Quite so.

Again, indeed.

I do think that people need to change their attitude to China (and some other countries). Yes, some Chinese firms produce rubbish products, sometimes dangerous rubbish, but the same is true in countries in all corners of the world, including the UK. On the other hand, the Chinese are at least as capable as any 'Western' country of producing products of the highest quality and standard.

What does rather surprise me is that the SE Asian companies do not have/find/use 'proper English-speaking' people to produce (or, at least, 'vet') their documentation - since, as per your comment, it's often the poor documentation which gives rise to concerns/doubts abut the actual products.

Yes - indeed, a few years back some "Pulnix" infra red dual beem outside detectors had a statement that proper alignment reduced chances of poor visiblity causing problems in "Snow or Frogs" it was a laugh but we reckoned they meant "Fog"

Are they saying you can use it to clamp one pin of a plug.
