It is an interesting forum. The same things are discussed endlessly and no minds are ever changed. What is fascinating is that if you go back 5, 10 or 15 years you will see exactly the same things being discussed endlessly with no minds being changed - but by a different set of people, most of whom are not here now.
Thr forum appears to be left-leaning. This is because a lot of right wing posts get locked, removed or have certain posters banned giving a skewed result.

It doesn't have to be so bad. Most of the advisory sections are people being reasonable, only a few posters put their ego out front.
There's a set of rules, which doesn't get enforced. People routinely break them, presumably like Morqy recently, because they choose to misunderstand, because they apparently think they're special.
I don't notice it being left-leaning any more that a mob of complainers usually is.
The "right wing" here isn't like the Tory party, it's often far further over. I don't think it matters what you think though, it's how you write it, especially when you do it by slagging someone else off.
I understand why some of the Trolls get their posts wiped, but not all.
I've noticed some people break the rules multiple times in one thread - they deserve to get barred. They always rather pathetically claim they're innocent when they moan about it, which is also against the rules and often at least is ignored or deleted.
I could give half a dozen names of those, I daresay we all could.
Hwayman is perhaps the most obvious one there, Notchy does it ad nauseam while he's campaigning for the Labour party, Spline all the time, and so on. 3 out of 4 of JohnD's posts are to make a snide remark. Obviously we have fairly well recognised trolls who get deleted and come back
It would be nice to discuss say the budget, without many of the posters taking it as an excuse to have a go at someone else.

This is just rubbish.
It's an extreme right wing echo chamber. And it's getting worse

I'd say it's probably mostly right-middle common sense folk here.
But... lefties are far more likely to have little else to do all day so post more frequently. It doesn't take too long to fill in a few benefits forms and smoke a spliff, then there's not much else to do all day.
Lefties here, like in the UK in general, are a tiny but disproportionally noisy minority. Thankfully Farage knows this, and doesn't fear their disapproval as they can be safely ignored and left to shout and strop, people will eventually stop paying any attention to them.

At the last election, 58% of the votes cast were for centre-left and left wing parties.
Thankfully lots of them have learnt their lesson, many are still learning. Most were only voting for not-tory in reality, to give them the kicking they deserved.
Usually Labour support dips hugely once people can see what life's really like with them in power, rather than relying on their lying promises (no rise in income tax, frozen council tax, lower energy bills, pension back-pay for waspi-women etc etc).
