Reuse existing circuit

The daisy chain was connected to the loop of the Kentec fire control panel, the radial powering the control panel.

OK - so, yes, you can still use the daisy chain and, if you're getting rid of the control panel then again, yes, you could connect the daisy chain to the radial from the CU which previously went to the control panel. Is that what you'd like to do?

I have recently moved into a property that was used as a small care facility. It has a fire alarm system and hochiki low voltage sensors in every room. For me this is overkill and the control panel is in the hallway and ugly, so I want to get rid of it.

My question is can I reuse the the existing circuit for domestic mains alarms? The interconnecting cables for the sensors are red twin and earth, would need to check the cable for rating. The control panel has a dedicated connection to the consumer unit, if I remove all the exsisting sensors can I connect this to the mains mains supply?

Thanks
Why not just move the existing panel to a position it doesn't look ugly?

Be a dam sight easier and cheaper.

I wondered that, but I suspect that the OP probably does not really want 'a panel', of any appearance, anywhere?

I would imagine that it wouldn't be either difficult or a significant cost to simply connect the existing feed to the panel to end of the 'daisy chain' at the location of the present panel, would it?

Hi, yeah this is what I would like to do. Thanks

That fire alarm is a loop it starts at the fire panel and ends at the panel …everything inc sounders plus other devices are on that loop ( there may be a separate bell circuit aswell which may be a normal EOL circuit ….
You need to make sure everything is removed or it may go with a bang if you put 240v through devices that run on 24v dc
I would leave it as it’s probably a better system than what you are going to fit
