mains smoke alarms

i have interconnected 3 mains smoke alarms using 3 core and earth.
i was intending to run them off the lighting circuit.
but i`ve now decided to go back to consumer unit and 6amp fuse.
what cable do i use to go from mains to first alarm?

If you thought 3 core, what were you going to connect the third core to at the CU?

yeah i meant what size twin and earth?
1.5 or 2.5?

1.0 or 1.5 TE

At 6 amp you can use either, even 2.5 if that's all you have.

Do pay attention to the smoke detector warnings, they don't like ins res test and go pop if you do test them with the units in situ.
