I can see how someone who wanted to find something to argue about might imagine that I'd written something which I clearly didn't write.

Both in my working life and in this forum, I spend much of my time pointing out the 'downsides' of taking, or not taking, some course of action. However, when I do that, in no way does that mean that I am saying that the opposite (not taking or taking the action) is "OK" - one has to consider both the 'upsides' and 'downsides', and the upsides often outweigh the downsides.
