Starmer postpones elections even further in Reform areas...

Nope they haven't and it tallies with what Brig posted that it's nothing to do with Sir Keir and everything to do with those at a local level.

Do you ever actually read back what you have posted?
The link from the electoral commission?

“As a matter of principle, we do not think that capacity constraints are a legitimate reason for delaying long planned elections. Extending existing mandates risks affecting the legitimacy of local decision making and damaging public confidence. There is a clear conflict of interest in asking existing Councils to decide how long it will be before they are answerable to voters.”

Yep called it. Turkeys shouldn’t get to vote on delaying Christmas (y)

"We note the Government statement in Parliament on 18 December inviting Councils to raise capacity concerns and seek to postpone elections in May 2026. “

Fairly clear who they think has invited the Turkeys to postpone Christmas.

A postponement generally requires a date that it's being postponed to, which would only come about if the process was reasonably close to its conclusion.

The fact that no date is given effectively makes this a cancellation. The fact that this is the second "postponement" makes a mockery of the word itself.

This government is a joke. Those who defend it using all kinds of twisted desperate logic are laughable. E.g. it wasn't Starmer himself, it was the councils not the government... Absolutely pathetic. Just how awful does this dystopian government have to become before you start to wake up and question whether you might just have picked the wrong side??!!?

Just recieved a Christmas card delivered in person from Reform, 2 neighbours commented saying they have never recieved one in all the 50 years they lived here, 2 voters maybe gained, this is in a Labour stronghold.

And right there, you have their opinion. Forgive everyone for not sharing your enthusiasm for your poor attempt, trying to form the target around the arrow, on this one. (n)
Perhaps you could explain what this means, for those of us who don't speak verbal contortion?

You forgot the Boyo on the end.

Seems like Reform are aiming low. Imagine what they could have gained if they'd given them a packet of biscuits or a fiver?

Oh the drama!
