I was reading that thread one Minuit then started typing the reply and it ended on this one. I expect people will be more confused on it rather than comment on it.

If NATO’s European members and Canada agreed to contribute more forces to Arctic security, the Trump administration could assert that its pressure tactics worked; Trump could claim a win and end his bid to take Greenland.

Well my solution is a good one, it is the same as Trump threatening to pull out of NATO if we don’t put up our military spend. It worked too as everyone has increased the spend. Why not do the same thing by sending more troops to Greenland, then he could say that is a win for him and doesn’t take his takeover any further.

That would be good. He could start by sending some. USA only has a hundred troops there. It doesn't exactly back up his claims that there is a mortal danger.
