AEG 6000 drain tube not long enough

Thanks @foxhole So I should swap the dishwasher and washing machine drain hoses around then on the spigot? To better create your diagram? So the washing machine drain tube on the top sink spigot?

If so will doing this simply shift the problem to the dishwasher? So that the sink drain water will enter the dishwasher because the spigot it's connected to is sloping downwards Or do dishwashers by design not allow that anyway?

No same spigot is fine , it simply has to come from above the spigot .

I've hoisted the hose up and along as suggested and fingers crossed it seems to have fixed it! Thanks so much everyone. Should the dishwasher drain hose be arranged in a similar fashion? At the moment it's simply coming out the bottom of the dishwasher along the ground and up into the top sink spigot.

@denso13 I'd already bought and fixed an extension. As it turns out, having it fixed the way it is currently it would just about reach! Oh well.

@Harry Bloomfield Thanks for the reply. Here's a photo of the appliances setup. Allowing for perspective I feel the top of the curve of the drain hose coming from the washing machine is slightly above where the end of it is inserted into the spigot?

As per Foxhole, the pipe needs to take the red route. At the moment, your hose is somewhat lower than the undersink trap, so the sink is initially draining towards the washer.
