High Court Rules...

Nobody was on trial

Perhaps Yvette Cooper was!

But seriously, I have been trying to find the government policy which she is supposed to have not followed correctly. It looks like Cooper was correct to determine that PA is a terrorist organisation. But then she was supposed to follow five tests to determine whether it was proportionate to proscribe them. Do you know what/where that policy is?

But the six Palestine Action people who were acquitted were not criminals!

It appears you are confusing the issue

It is true that they weren't convicted. But we don't know why the jury made that decision. It might be that the whole jury decided that they were criminals, but also decided on conscientious grounds not to convict them.

Or that the elements of GBH with intent were not quite met and lower offence was more appropriate

I’m on my mobile. You might find it in the act itself or maybe this is it

the Jury could not reach verdicts for charges of criminal damage against all six defendants, or on the allegation that Mr Corner, 23, inflicted grievous bodily harm on Police Sergeant Kate Evans.
Nor could they reach a verdict on the charges of violent disorder against Ms Head, Mr Corner, and Ms Kamio.

glad I could help

write your own essay, there have been dozens of convictions and dozens of charges.

do you think the court was wrong when it said:

The court concludes that Palestine Action is an organisation that promotes its political cause through criminality and the encouragement of criminality
