Just realised we hadn’t bought insurance for this so quickly bought it today. GHIC is no good for a cruise within the EU. I’ll try not to lick the banisters this time……….

Sold a load of silver a few weeks ago, a day before the price crashed 30%. Cheap enough now, although it's going up, so I got a load more.
Grrr. They've swapped the Cadiz (For Seville) stop for Gibraltar. Been to Gibraltar before, was looking forward to Cadiz.
A couple of speciality dining meals on our April cruise. Basically just for a break from eating at the captains table every night ….

Can't be doing with all that arty farty posing food, give me a plate of stew with pearl barley and dumplings any day. Just slop it on my plate, no need to go all Salvador Dali with it.

Bought one of these from the middle of Lidl this morning. On offer for £3. I Don't know what they were before but I bought it for our daughter as we already have one and it cost us £20 from IKEA. Very handy.

A bottle brush from home bargains £1.50 to scrub my bike chain before putting it in the sonic cleaner machine.
I’ve got one of those ultrasonic cleaners. I occasionally put my watch and some of Mrs Motties jewellery in it. The crap that comes out - unbelievable!
Every morning i lose a lung - good job i pay in enough for the nhs to buy a new one.
If I'm cleaning the chain on the bike I use a nail brush. Get the rear wheel off the ground on a maintenance stand and turn the pedal as the chain runs over the brush, top, bottom and both sides of it. Then some WD40 on a rag and finally some chain lube.
This was a deep clean, chain off via a "Quick Link" back wheel off, take the cassette off, give it a clean then throw it and the chain in the sonic cleaner.
Take the jocky wheels off, clean them, take the front chain ring apart, thoroughly clean that, then reassemble and oil.
