****ty life

Still trying to find my own place to live. Currently, as in last 8 years, living in a shared house!! Been on council waiting list for over 5 years!!

Renting is so expensive, that is why I am living in a shared house as that is cheaper. It is horrible to.

Been told that I now have to vacate this place within the next 7 weeks or so as the other guy living here who I am sub letting from needs the whole house. No agreements signed when I moved here 6 months ago. I am just classed as a lodger.

You need to find yourself, a rich widow - seriously. I was reasonably well set up, when my original partner passed away. I spent a few months in shock, moping around, wondering what to do with rest of my life, then decided to try, something completely alien to me - a dating site. A couple of bad relationships later, here I am with Av looking after me, and me looking after her, and getting along absolutely great. It didn't cost me anything to be on the site itself, nor to use it - plenty of such free sites around, no need to pay.

All I know is that it's lower back. No idea which joint. Knee pain is desperate. Doc said it's inflamed tendons. I can't rest it as I work. I do wear a knee support while in work though. Both knees have issues...lol

I had injections in lower back but did nowt. Been with pain clinic several years but they been abysmal.

Hoping Osteopath will help. Only seen the guy a handful of times.

Sciatic flossing might help both. If the disc is touching the nerve. Every other minor pain in your legs gets amplified.

You have to learn to stretch every day

True. I am classed as a lodger. No tenancy or contract. It's a shared house.
So the bloke rents the whole house form a landlord and then lives in one room and lets out the other rooms - making himself ££ in the process --- Have I got that right

Well that's cheered every one up no end - thanks

Joking aside, I've probably said this before... I've not had an easy life, with multiple medical issues to deal with.

But...

I stop every now and again and tell myself there are people in the world far worse off than me and they find the spirit and resilience to carry on, so I should too.

At the same time, I'm not putting down anybody's difficulties. I know from my own personal experience how hard it is and that some days are good, some days are bad, most are just meh and some are absolutely shoite.

Picking up the phone and talking to people at least once daily and going out and meeting others daily works wonders.

It can become almost impossible physically and mentally sometimes to get out and about but if you can push yourself to do it, you will feel so much better afterwards.

I've gone from thinking about self harm with blades and eating myself into an early grave to getting out and about into nature and getting fitter and in a much more positive place mentally.

The power of the countryside is immense!

Good post..(y)

My main issue is accomodation at the moment. I am desperate to find my own place. I am looking, daily. It's not easy when one is on a minimum wage and part time due to health issues. Yes, I have savings. I need that to fall back on if I have to give up work totally.

I have 5 years left before retirement.

Hoping I can keep on working and find my own little place. Like I said, I don't want to buy anywhere because of reasons already stated.

I appreciate everyone's kindness and advice. Thanks guys.....woof!

If you have a local Citizens Advice and can get an appointment, it's well worth chatting to them about what benefits you may be entitled to.

PIP is not means tested. You may also be eligible for ESA or other benefits being part time.
