Bit of a rant.
Just moved into a new build house and it has these https://www.cef.co.uk/catalogue/products/4651390-150mm-safety-pendant-with-decorators-cover-white.
Decorators cover a nice idea as long as the decorator waits for the paint to dry before putting the outer cover back or the paint can glue it on. Don’t ask how I know.
The hidden pins is a solution to a problem I didn’t know existed, one failed the first time I took a bulb out (to check the lumens output) but of course the first thing you think about when you put a bulb in and it doesn’t work is that the bulb has failed so you try another. Then you try one of the bulbs in another fitting and realise it is OK. Meanwhile it was getting dark! At least we had a spare as we have put some light fittings up in other rooms.
Beware- if they don’t click as you put the bulb in . . . .
