Petrol Profiteering..

On g b news this morning three quarters of electors blame Trumpf for increased fuel prices. The re form sympathising public are beginning to wake up.

because the boomer generation didn't pay in what they are now taking out.
Same can be said of those drawing private pensions. The correct answer is....
Because the government does take your money, but then they pee it up against the wall instead of investing it for your future.

I started work when I was 15 and retired when 65 so paid in for 50 years
Therefore you have paid 50 years' National Insurance, however much that adds up to. And how much would that be worth now if it had been properly invested?

I assume you are reffing to DB pensions not DC pensions?

The problem of course is that there are plenty who paid squat in and now think they should be entitled.

Remember where you heard it first - me
That was your reference to planned fuel protests...

"Reform UK’s “fair fuel” protest failed to draw support on Monday, with the planned march down Whitehall called off amid a small turnout"

Billed as a “national fuel protest”, the protest was shared on senior Reform UK members’ social media, including the party’s treasury spokesperson, Robert Jenrick.

The AI-generated poster advertising the event on social media featured an array of tractors, lorries and vans positioned in front of parliament.

"But as Reform UK’s double-decker bus and taxi turned on to Whitehall – 40 minutes after the advertised start time of 9am – no other vehicles had materialised"

Linky Linky

Yes, we heard it from you first

Yes I was talking about the planned protests TWO WEEKS ago - that were going to happen TWO WEEKS ago
Nothing to do with whatever happened today.
You are quite tiresome aren’t you getting yourself all excited.

Its been noted before by others that you are so desperate to "win" an argument that you are willing to grasp at any straws and ending your post with a  doesn’t mean that you have "won" anything.
This type of behaviour is textbook narcissism on your behalf.

Noted by others?

How about you own your fake news about the so called fuel protests instead of posting yet another pointless whinge...

I'm not 'desperate to win', I just happen to be able to point out the faults in certain peoples arguments...

Often easily as it happens :)

And so as not to disappoint you and on that note...

Try harder next time!

Back on topic, and talking of profiteering...

"BP's profits for the first three months of the year have more than doubled following a surge in oil prices since the beginning of the Iran war"

How are BP "profiteering" the price of fuel is not in their control- you wanna talk about fuel profiteering look no further than the government who are probably making more ££ than anyone out of this in fuel duty/ tax

I've noticed lower prices at the prices at the pumps in the past couple of days. Only slightly though.
