Afternoon,

Building an outbuilding (carport and single garage.) on a concrete base.

It will be covered with wood panels to achieve a barn shed look. So a block garage on left with carport on right and low apex roof.
I have planning permission to do this (as its front of house).

My outer width is fixed so I want to keep the walls as thin as practical to maximise room inside, the roof will be bitumen tile effect so no weight. I'm going to paint the walls inside.

To prevent condensation whats the best block to build with. In a house we'd have cavity but if I did that I'd lose width. Single block I read might lead to a condensation problem but maybe technology has moved on and its not a problem anymore.

Can someone suggest what the better option is to get suitable strength and good thermal properties.

Just to expand, I read of thermalite or aerated blocks but I also see blocks called hollow blocks' like these which look like and "all in one" cavity wall
Don't know which would be better long term.

Many thanks,
PG

reading around a bit more I think this is the right way
Aircrete Blocks
Wood panels on outside, so it can breathe 'out'
Seal on inside to prevent moisture absorbtion.
