Disassemble Bed

Hi, I want to put down new carpet and paint my bedroom.
The bed is obviously an issue.
It's very heavy for starters and I'll probably need to disassemble completely?

Is it a case of unscrewing the frame from the headboard and then seeing what else I need to do.

It's rock solid at the moment - is there any risk that I won't get it back tight when I unscrew and rescrew everything back together.

The main headboard is split in two pieces and fastened at the back with three bars - one of the photos shows one of these.

I am not sure how the floating shelves attach - there is a screw from the frame side and I can see some recess at the back of the headboard where presumably there are more screws.

Any tips?

I've just decorated and had two of our bedrooms carpeted. That also involved disassembling two large wooden bed frames. At the end of the day, it’s just screws, nuts and bolts but it’s gotta be done. Take plenty of pictures before you start is my advice!

Really this is one of those things you either post a ton of photos or realistically you break it down into as few pieces as possible, you might find you only need to detach the panel down by the foot end, then the rest can be moved out of the room temporarily.

Ok thanks. I didn't want to overload the thread with photos but having said that, the photos probably show nearly all there is to see.

In terms of moving it out of the room my main concern is the headboard with floating shelf, it weighs a ton.
The other concern I have is will I be able to get a tight fit after reassembly if I do disassemble everything ?
Will the screws grab as tight as they currently do or could I run into trouble ?

Does the fastener in the middle of the pic going into the frame look familiar to anyone - I am guessing it supports the floating shelf from the side ?
